Both portraits are almost fully visible on the flan. Lustrous characteristics exist equally, both heads and tails, as does a faint smidgen of tone on the surfaces which is attractive. The portraits on this coin were the first that appeared on Roman coins and the only portrait of Sulla on a coin as well. An iconic coin within Roman coinage. obv consul Q.Pomp.Rufus. rv dictator Sulla.
