The obverse depicts Emiliano Zapata, who was, and still is an iconic Mexican Revolutionary hero that fought for the people of Mexico. One of Zapata’s greatest contributions to the people was land reform. His philosophy, known by “Zapatismo”, was an armed movement, and attempted to create an economic equality among the peasant people in the state of Morales. This pattern coinage, struck in silver, exhibits satin frosted devices, sharp legends, and a bold looking reverse. The mirrored fields beautifully contrast the design and characters to portray sharp eye-appeal to any viewer of this coin.
