WorldNo fewer than 16 of the 40 parables preached by Jesus mention coins or money. Have you ever wondered what the 30 pieces of silver—the money given to Judas for his betrayal—actually looked like? They were real coins, like the ones we spend today. What about the Widow’s Mites (two tiny coins that offered a profound lesson in giving): what did they look like? Or the Tribute Penny so famously “rendered unto Caesar”? And what kind of money did the Good Samaritan pay to the innkeeper? In the award-winning Money of the Bible, these questions and more are explored by one of the most famous coin researchers of our time. Kenneth Bressett’s fascinating book gives us a better understanding of ancient life and the truth in the words of the Old and New Testaments. 3rd Edition, Updated and Revised: A fascinating numismatic chronicle of events. Fully illustrated; now with more images. Hardcover 114 pages
