A number of these were struck from rusty dies and scant evidence can be seen on this coin that the dies were in terminal state. Some characteristics may be seen in the legends as die rust does appear in the legends on both sides. The nature of the surfaces are slightly satin with marvelous fields and a pleasant strike. Cartwheel luster almost fully swirls on both sides which radiates with sharp brilliance creating superlative eye-appeal to view.
