One of the most elusive dates to acquire within the series with a mintage of 147,050. In terms of luster, this example may be slightly better than Rudman’s example that was auctioned off at Heritage back in 2014. Most of the visible adjustment marks exist on the reverse with some noted on the obverse. Which is common for the series of this highly sought after type. Patina appears as a light faded gunmetal gray with some smokey silver tones mixed throughout the surfaces as well. A rare date within the series and the next finest example is an MS64. This grade we are offering may have to suffice, unless one may want to spend the high 5 to low 6 figures it may be required to acquire the MS64. That is if the collector is willing to part with their coveted prize.
