A rare offering with minor splits in the flan which is normal for an issue that is hand hammered. Most of the strike is very well defined and the patina is slightly two toned (mainly in the peripheries) which contributes to the pleasing eye-appeal. Some minor weakness exists on the highest points from past handling, but overall the issue seems to retain a good amount of mint bloom, and attractive intricate definition. This coin is the finest certified example at NGC or PCGS as of 10/03/2018.
