This is the best looking 5 Franc we are offering from this era. Gunmetal patina defines the patina on the obverse with a mixture of luminous amber tones and looks somewhat picturesque. Reverse displays sporadic tints and shades of amber and light blues which are lit up by radiating cartwheel luster. The effigy appears surprisingly bold as do the sharp looking peripheral characters. Exceptional eye-appeal, unique patina, sharp luster, and a superlative strike on both sides creates this numismatic marvel. Second finest known example at NGC as of 05/03/18.
