Guadalupe y Calvo mint, KM377.7, DP-GC05. Most of these were, according to Replandores, “poorly struck on defective planchets and poorly struck”. Slight weakness in strike is evident on the reverse but the overall quality of the surfaces are quite nice despite being struck from a bad die/planchet. Faint champagne tones cover the surfaces of this condition sensitive rarity and the look is uniform. Lustrous qualities appear to be the most dominant characteristic of the coin but on the other hand the planchet for the type is of superior quality in our opinion.
