Struck possibly as proposed trade coinage for the East, this example is very well defined and superbly struck up despite the numerical designation assigned on the holder. The fields are slightly prooflike, with somewhat cameo devices and the surfaces exhibit some faint amber tones within the legends adding further appeal to the coin. Only one of four coins known to exist and Krause lists the mintage at two specimens. Whether the mintage is two or four this pattern is extremely rare.
