1846 was the last year this coin was struck and its predecessor in 1847 weiged only 20 grams. The coin in hand seems a bit better than the numerical grade on the holder. Some champagne tones are highlighted by splendid cartwheel luster. Superb eye-appeal is exhibited by the surfaces of this slightly frosty example. Graded at the top end of the census, two other examples are tied at the MS62 level, and only one finer specimen in MS63 exists at NGC as of 10/16/18.
